Seems I read recently (maybe on the forum?) about a couple being stuck for weeks in a lock because of a walk out or something to that effect. I nearly ended up in mainland Portugal when the pilots of TAP Airlines walked out while I was on vacation in Madiera and needed to get back to the Azores where I was stationed.
